Graphic Design


Many professional artists consider the subject of “Graphic Design” to be limited to the process of creating integrated static images and typography and of primary value in the fields such as advertising design, magazines and books and merchandising material. Specializing graphic design skills to developing expertise in these ranges of application can prepare artists for full, profitable and satisfying careers, however, developing graphic design skills in the fullest sense impacts all areas of graphic art skills. To produce any type of effective image requires an ability to produce a coherent plan with intentional effects and techniques to accomplish those effects.


As a general subject, Graphic Design covers a wide range of very specialized subjects. Entire encyclopedias could, and have been devoted to the subjects related to the general topic.
